Our Rainbow Christmas Express is a beautifully detailed train bath bomb, hand-painted with a bright engine, dark wheels and winter fir trees behind it. From the little window to the chimney and wheel details, each one takes time and care to finish.
There’s just as much going on underneath: a big hidden rainbow along the bottom sends colourful trails into the water as the train fizzes and foams, with an extra colour burst from the chimney.
This is a special festive gift for train-loving children, a Christmas Eve bath treat or a colourful surprise for someone who loves the detail as much as the bath art.
Big rainbows, with skin-kind ingredients in mind: we chose Green Apple fragrance oil because it has no fragrance allergens to declare. See the ingredient section and product label for the full formula.
One batch for this Christmas. These trains are especially time-consuming to make and paint. Once this batch sells out, we won’t be making more until next year.

Why This Train Is Something Special
Each train combines a detailed moulded design, individually painted engine and winter-tree backdrop with a large rainbow hidden along its base. The painting takes extra workshop time, and the bath art is a big part of the experience.
We’re making one batch for this Christmas, with no further train-making planned until next year.
How to Get the Best Rainbow Bath Art
Run your warm bath and turn off the taps. Unwrap the train and gently lower its base onto the surface, keeping the painted engine facing upwards.
Allow the rainbow underneath to begin fizzing before gently letting go. Leave it undisturbed to enjoy the colour trails and watch the chimney for its extra colour surprise. The gallery video shows the bath art in action.
Every handmade bomb behaves a little differently, so floating, movement and colour patterns can vary.
Use with adult supervision. For external use only; avoid contact with eyes and broken or irritated skin. Stop use if irritation occurs. Rinse the bath after use.

We chose Green Apple specifically for this rainbow bath bomb because the fragrance oil has no fragrance allergens to declare. It brings a fresh, fruity scent to our colourful, skin-kind Boddle formula.
This describes the fragrance oil, rather than making the whole bath bomb allergen-free. Please check the product label for the full ingredients, including sweet almond oil, and any individual sensitivities. No bath product can promise to suit every skin.

Handmade by Boddle Bath
Boddle Bath is a small Scottish business founded by Jen, a mum who began making bath bombs because her own daughter had sensitive skin.
Our bombs are moulded and hand-painted by Jen or Cheryl-Marie in our Uddingston workshop under our current cosmetic safety assessments. Each is made individually, so colours, painted details and bath-art patterns may vary slightly.
Keeping Your Christmas Bomb Fresh
Keep wrapped in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, heat and bathroom steam. An airtight box in a cupboard is ideal for keeping your Christmas treats fresh until gifting.
For the best fizz, colour and scent, enjoy within 4–6 months when stored correctly, following the guidance on the label. Paper-bag packaging offers less moisture protection than shrink wrap, so keep those bombs airtight and use promptly, ideally within a month.
