A fresh mix of possibilities
While demand is high, we make the dust fresh every week. Scents rotate and colours can vary slightly between batches, so your next refill may bring a different combination to explore.
The three dusts supplied together are chosen to be mixed together. We use one matching fragrance across the colours, or a compatible combination selected for mixing, so little potion makers can experiment with the dusts in their box. The scent is selected by us rather than chosen from a menu; check the pouch labels for the ingredients and fragrance allergen information.
The bugs vary too! We have a wide selection, so the pair in your box may be different from those pictured. New little potion helpers, same imaginative fun.
Refill, remix, repeat
Use the dust to top up your reusable potion bottles, sprinkle a little into a bowl, or enjoy supervised potion play at bath time. Add a pinch of petals or lavender and let your little one decide what their latest creation does. A confidence potion? A dragon-finding brew? We’ll leave the important science to them.
This is a year-round refill for rainy afternoons, birthday gifting, Christmas stockings and the days when the potion ingredients have mysteriously vanished again.
Reusable potion bottles, bowls, cups, cauldrons and play spoons shown in demonstration photos are sold separately. One wooden scoop is included in this refill kit.
What’s in the Refill Box?
Three bath dust pouches (approximately 90–100g each), one pouch of dried lavender, one pouch of rose petals, two reusable toy bugs and one wooden scoop, packed in a purple Boddle gift box.

Changing Scents, Colours & Bugs
We make the dust fresh every week while demand is high. Fragrances rotate and colours may vary slightly between batches, rather than every refill being an identical copy of the last.
The two toy bugs are selected from our varied collection. Their types and colours will differ between boxes; the pictured bugs are examples.
Can the Colours Be Mixed?
Yes — the three bath dusts packed together are selected for mixing. We use the same fragrance across the colours, or a compatible combination chosen for mixed potion play.
Follow the labels on your supplied pouches. This is not a blanket guarantee that every fragrance or botanical suits every allergy. If your child has an allergy, contact us before ordering so we can discuss the current batch’s ingredients.
Scoop, Sprinkle & Make Potions
During supervised play, scoop a little dust into water and watch it fizz. Add more gradually to build your creation, mixing the colours in your box as you go. Add small amounts of the botanicals and use the reusable bugs as imaginative potion ingredients.
A bowl works for simple potion play, or use your existing Boddle potion tools. Remove bugs and loose botanicals before draining the bath. Rinse containers and leave them to dry after play.

Bath dust is handmade and the complete kit is packed by Boddle Bath in Scotland. Every batch and box is prepared by hand, so colours and fill levels may vary slightly.

Read the pouch labels for full ingredients and fragrance allergens before use. For external use only. Do not eat. Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin. Adult supervision is required; this kit contains small parts and is not suitable for children under three.
Remove plastic bugs and loose botanicals before draining. Store pouches sealed in a cool, dry place away from bathroom steam, and use a dry scoop to keep the remaining dust dry.
