Large blue orange and yellow ocean bath bomb balls with hidden squishy sea animal toys

Ocean Surprise Toy Bath Bomb – Giant Ball with Hidden Collectable Squishy

Make a splash with our brand-new Ocean Surprise Toy Bath Bomb Ball — a huge, colourful bath bomb with a hidden squishy sea creature waiting inside!

These special surprise balls are now handmade in-house at Boddle following a brand-new safety assessment. Each one contains a UK CE safety-tested squishy toy, sealed safely inside a purple 3D-printed capsule before being shrink-wrapped and hidden within the bath bomb.

Drop the ball into a warm bath and watch the turquoise ocean side meet the sunny yellow and orange beach colours. The extra-colourful bath bomb mixture fizzes and foams around the water before blending into a gorgeous green final bath colour.

Once the bath bomb has dissolved, the hidden capsule will be revealed. Open it to discover your surprise squishy sea creature!

There are 10 different ocean and seaside toys to collect, including a mix of fish, sharks, narwhals, turtles, crabs, shells, blowfish and other underwater friends.

Every finished ball looks identical once moulded, so the animal inside is a genuine surprise. We cannot guarantee that multiple balls will contain different toys, although we use as many different creatures as possible throughout each handmade batch to reduce the chance of doubles.

Even with space inside for the protective toy capsule, each ball still weighs approximately 190g, making it one of our biggest and heaviest bath bombs. This is a full bathtime experience combining a large colourful bath bomb, a safely enclosed surprise toy and a collectable squishy to keep afterwards.

The first batch is scented in our summery Sun, Sea & Sand fragrance. Future batches may move to a fruity summer scent, so please check the current fragrance information before ordering.

This Ocean Surprise Ball is the first in a planned collection of hidden-toy bath bombs. Unicorn and dinosaur surprises may be swimming and stomping this way in future… but first, our ocean gang needs its moment!

Please note that the outer packaging includes both the cosmetic ingredients label and the required toy safety information. It may not be the sleekest wee parcel we have ever wrapped, but everything is clearly labelled and ready for safe, surprise-filled bathtime fun.

  • Maker Info

These bombs were made by me (Jen of Boddle Bath)! I am now a fully assessed bath bomb maker with all the legal PIF files and portal registers that go with it. If you have any questions or bespoke requests please feel free to message me via our social media channels or through the website.

  • Storage Best Practice

Bath bombs are fickle creatures that do not like sunlight (they tend to fade the colours) or heat and moisture (they get bumpy spots like a rash or go soft and turn to dust) So placing them in a lovely open display dish on the window cill of your bathroom is not a good plan (other than for that insta photo... we see you ;)

Please place your delightful beauties into an airtight container like a takeaway container or the kids lunch box. Then find a spot in the house thats at an even cool temperature, perhaps the back of the wardrobe or understair cupboard. Sprinkling rice or those silica bead sachets you find in new shoes at the bottom of the box is great practice as they will absorb any moisture that might get into the box.

This is majorly important if you select the eco-friendly paper bag option for packaging our bombs instead of shrink wrap.  Our bath bombs are assessed for use 12 months after production however I would advice using them within 4-6 months if stored correctly. Outside of shrink wrap that life span will reduce dramatically, to a couple weeks in open air or a month in the container. So please only pick it if you will be using them regularly within the month ideally.

  • Ingredients

For full explaination of our ingredients please refer to the "what's in our bombs" page of the website. Ingredients are listed on the back of every bomb and that label is in the photos of this listing. However they are here in order of highest to lowest ratio and with the more common names in brackets for you.

    1. Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking soda)
    2. Citric Acid
    3. Parfum (Fragrance Oil)
    4. Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil)
    5. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa)
    6. Polysorbate 80
    7. Kaolin Clay
    8. CI xxx (colour index water soluble dye or mica paint numbers)
  • What toy will be inside?

Each bath bomb contains one surprise squishy toy from a collection of 10 ocean and seaside designs.

Possible creatures include fish, sharks, narwhals, turtles, crabs, shells, blowfish and other sea-themed friends.

The exact design cannot be selected because the capsules all look the same once hidden inside the bath bomb.

We aim to use as many different animals as possible when making each batch. For example, a batch of 13 balls may contain only two of the same shark rather than being filled with identical toys. However, once the capsules have been moulded inside, we cannot tell which creature is in each ball.

  • How is the toy protected?

The UK CE safety-tested toy is placed inside a purple 3D-printed capsule. The closed capsule is then shrink-wrapped before being safely moulded into the centre of the bath bomb.

The bath bomb should be allowed to dissolve fully before the capsule is opened.
